Hubungan Kematangan Emosi dengan Penyesuaian Diri pada Siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Medang Deras Kabupaten Batubara

Abstract

This study aims to find out and test empirically is there a relationship between emotional maturity and self-adjustment students at Medang Deras 3 Public Middle School, Batu Bara Regency. Number of samples is 80 students of Medang Deras 3 Public Middle School, Batu Bara Regency. The measurement method uses a scale that is the emotional maturity scale and adjustment. Data collection techniques using total sampling. Results data analysis using the r product moment technique. Based on data analysis, it was found that the hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted, that is, there is a positive relationship between emotional maturity and self-adjustment for students of Medang Deras Middle School 3, Batu Bara Regency. This matter Proven by calculating r product moment with value or coefficient ( Rxy) = 0.494 and the determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.244 with p = 0.000 > 0.050. The determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.244 that shows emotional maturity 24.4%. Next seen from the calculation of the hypothetical mean = 50.0 and empirical mean = 76.05 and standard deviation = 10.603 is known that adjustment in high category. While emotional maturity from the calculation of the mean hypothetical = 60.0 and the empirical mean = 83.76 and Standard deviation = 13,481 is known that emotional maturity is in the high category.
