Perbandingan Permintaan dan Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Permintaan Telur Ayam Ras, Telur Ayam Kampung, dan Telur Itik di Kota Medan

Abstract

English : This research aimed to observe the number of demand for purebred chicken eggs, free-range chicken eggs, and duck eggs to find out factors that influenced the demand and to find out the comparison among purebred chicken eggs, free-range chicken eggs, and duck eggs in Medan. This research was done in May 2018. The sample collection technique used purposive sampling technique, the sample was 38 costumers from each kind of egg. The sample for this research were some buyers that spotted in research location. Descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were applied as the data analysis. Based on the result, it found that consumer demands for purebred chicken eggs in Medan on the average 4-36 eggs every month, 5-8 free ranged chicken eggs every month and 4-7 duck eggs every month. Demands for free ranged chicken eggs in Medan were influenced by the number of load and quail eggs price. Demands for free ranged chicken eggs were influenced by the price of eggs itself and consumer preference. Demands for duck eggs in Medan were influenced by egg price and the number of load. Comparison of demand for purebred chicken eggs, free-range chicken eggs, and duck eggs showed that demands for purebred chicken eggs were higher because they mostly served as the main family menu at home.
