Strategi Komunikasi Guru Dalam Menerapkan Pendidikan Karakter Terhadap Siswa Kelas IX Fullday Di SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan

Abstract

Education aims to shape the character of children as the next generation into individuals who behave well, honestly, responsibly, respect the rights of others, work hard and be good citizens, in the education process there is communication, communication strategies are needed so that the message conveyed can be easily understood by students. This study aims to determine the communication strategies of teachers in implementing character education to students in the sixth grade in Muhammadiyah 7 Middle School Medan. Data collection is done by field observation techniques, interviews, documentation and literature study. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative intended to illustrate the experience and knowledge of the object of research through data obtained from facts at the research location. The results of the study indicate that the teacher's communication strategy in implementing tauhid, polite and polite character education and discipline towards class students ix full day in SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan by paying attention to the credibility and management of communicators, using information techniques, persuasion and instructions in conveying messages, the media as a means of supporting messages, influencing cognitive, affective and conative effects. The teacher communication strategy applied is close to Middleton's communication strategy theory.
