Peat soil is organic material that comes from plants and is formed in wet soils that change chemically due to the influence of weather and topographic conditions. The organic material contained in peat soils has a relatively low bearing capacity and has a very large compressibility, so that if it receives or carries a large load, there will be a large reduction in a relatively short time, then a large settlement problem becomes a major problem for the structure. road construction that will be built on it. This study aims to determine the addition of soil bearing capacity in terms of the value of the California Bearing Ratio (CBR). This research was conducted in a laboratory, by testing the physical properties of the soil and the mechanical properties of the soil. In this case, to overcome this problem, it is necessary to use the method of soil stabilization with cement against the California Bearing Ratio value as a value that states the quality of the soil and also one of the parameters in determining the ability of the soil to bear the load of the road construction structure. From the research results obtained the value of the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) for the original soil was 11.78%. For original soil + 2% cement is 16.14%. For original soil + 6% cement is 13.72%. For original soil + 10% cement is 12.89%. And it can be concluded that the highest unsoaked CBR value increase occurred in the addition of a 2% cement mix variation. |
