The need for steam energy in the oil industry is very much needed for the production process and the quality of the products produced by steam boilers. Because the steam boiler is a power aircraft that is widely used and considered feasible in the world of the oil industry in Indonesia. In studying Steam Boilers, it is not enough to only be able to operate and know the functions of the Steam Boiler operation support units but at least be able to calculate the efficiency of the steam boiler whether it is profitable or not if it is disarmed. In the steam production process, efficiency and the amount of fuel used are greatly affected, this is a consideration that must be taken into account according to the capacity of the industry. In general, water pipe boilers use fiber fuel and palm shells, therefore the need for fiber fuel and shells needs to be analyzed to find out the type of fuel that can increase the efficiency of steam boilers. The increased efficiency of the steam boiler can provide economic value for Industry, and also increase the production volume. The use of a clear and stable amount of fuel is also one of the important factors, being considered and calculated related to the expenditure and supply of fuel for steam boilers of water pipes. Based on the results of the calculation, it can be concluded that the use of fiber fuel has a higher efficiency value, which is an average of 80% than shell fuel which has an average efficiency value of 20%, So that the performance of the fiber and palm shell fuel boiler engine is better in combustion and easy to produce.
