This study analyzes the effect of substitution of robusta coffee husk waste (BKKR) on the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of concrete. The variations of BKKR used were 5%, 7%, and 9% of the weight of cement, with normal concrete K-225 as a control. Testing was carried out at the ages of 14 and 28 days. The results showed that increasing the BKKR content tended to decrease the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of concrete. At the age of 28 days, normal concrete had a compressive strength of 19.27 MPa and a splitting tensile strength of 2.26 MPa, while concrete with 9% BKKR experienced a decrease in compressive strength of up to 8.99 MPa and a splitting tensile strength of 0.88 MPa. Although there was a decrease in strength, the use of BKKR has the potential as an additive in environmentally friendly concrete with controlled use. |
