| Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek persepsi fasilitas perpustakaan terhadap minat baca pada siswa SMA Negeri 17 Medan. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah kenaikkan pada persepsi fasilitas perpustakaan maka akan ada peningkatan pada minat baca siswa, begitu pula sebaliknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 229 siswa dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui skala minat baca dan skala persepsi fasilitas perpustakaan yang disusun dalam bentuk likert. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis regreasi linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara minat baca dengan persepsi fasilitas perpustakaan dimana rxy = 0,518 dengan signifikan p = 0,000 < 0,05 dengan kontribusi minat baca terhadap persepsi fasilitas perpustakaan 26,8%. Hasil tersebut menyatakan bahwa semakin tinggi minat baca maka semakin meningkat persepsi siswa pada fasilitas perpustakaan, begitu pula sebaliknya semakin rendah minat baca maka semakin menurun persepsi siswa terhadap fasilitas perpustakaan. The research aims to determine the influence of perception of library facilities on the reading interest of students at SMA Negeri 17 Medan. The proposed hypothesis is that an increase in the perception of library facilities will lead to an increase in students' reading interest, and vice versa. This study employs a quantitative method, with a sample size of 229 students selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using a reading interest scale and a library facility perception scale designed in the form of a Likert scale. The data analysis method uses linear regression analysis followed by Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between reading interest and the perception of library facilities, with rxy=0.518 rxy=0.518 and a significance level of p=0.000<0.05p=0.000<0.05 with the contribution of reading interest to the perception of library facilities at 26.8%. These findings suggest that as students' reading interest increases, their perception of library facilities also improves; conversely, when reading interest decreases, so does their perception of the library facilities. |
