| Abstract: | Limbah pembakaran boiler pada pabrik kelapa sawit berupa abu hopper dan abu desch dihasilkan dalam jumlah besar dan umumnya hanya ditumpuk tanpa pemanfaatan optimal, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan. Data dianalisis menggunakan One Way ANOVA. = 0,000). Komposisi 80% abu hopper + 20% abu desch menghasilkan rata-rata kadar abu terendah (±4,99%), sedangkan komposisi 60% abu hopper + 40% abu desch menghasilkan kadar air terendah (±20,30%). Boiler combustion waste in palm oil mills in the form of hopper ash and desch ash is produced in large quantities and is generally only piled up without optimal utilization, thus potentially causing environmental pollution. This study aims to utilize boiler ash waste into briquettes and analyze the effect of variations in the composition of hopper ash and desch ash on briquette quality based on ash content and moisture content. The method used was a quantitative experimental approach with four composition variations (80:20, 20:80, 60:40, and 40:60), each tested on three samples. The data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA. The re-sults showed that the composition variation had a significant effect on ash content (F = 102.988; Sig. = 0.000) and moisture content (F = 543.207; Sig. = 0.000). The composition of 80% hopper ash + 20% desch ash produced the lowest average ash content (±4.99%), while the composition of 60% hopper ash + 40% desch ash pro-duced the lowest moisture content (±20.30%). Increasing the proportion of desch ash tended to increase the ash and moisture content of the briquettes. These results indicate that hopper ash has better potential as the main material for briquettes and supports industrial waste management based on waste-to-energy. |
