| Abstract: | Program Studi Teknik Industri Universitas Medan Area (UMA) mempelajari berbagai aspek yang berkaitan dengan sistem industri secara menyeluruh, meliputi proses produksi, manajemen sumber daya manusia, perancangan sistem kerja, pengendalian kualitas, manajemen operasional, keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3), hingga peningkatan produktivitas dan efisiensi. The Industrial Engineering Study Program at the University of Medan Area (UMA) comprehensively examines various aspects of industrial systems, ranging from production processes, human resource management, work system design, quality control, and operations management to occupational health and safety (OHS) and the enhancement of productivity and efficiency. Industrial Engineering plays a pivotal role in integrating people, machines, materials, methods, and the work environment to create effective and optimal work systems. As part of the learning process, students are required to undertake a Practical Work (KP) assignment to apply the theories they have studied to real-world industrial settings. Through this activity, students are expected to gain an understanding of actual operational conditions, identify existing issues, and provide analysis and recommendations for improvement based on Industrial Engineering principles. |
