Perkembangan Jumlah Penderita Diabetes Pada Usia Lanjut Di Puskesmas Tegal Sari Kota Medan

Abstract

Research on the development of Diabetes Mellitus in elderly ages at Tegal Sari Health Centre in Medan, aims to obtained a data or an overview of Diabetes Mellitus in elderly ages at Tegal Sari Health Centre in Medan, depending on sex since 2011 to 2013. The research was conducted in January to June in 2011. Using descriptive method which describe the number of patients by retrieve data directly from the secondary data source, from the medical records of all Diabetes Mellitus patient who received treatment at Tegal Sari Health Centre in Medan. Parameters measured were the patients age, sugar level and analysis of increasing number of patients from 2011 – 2013. The reult showed an increasing in Diabetes Mellitus patients in male as many as 5,57% in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and not increased with the number of patients remains the same as many as 25 respondents. Percentages of Diabetes Mellitus in female increasesd from 2011 to 2012 as many as 3,82% and in 2012 to 2013 has increased quite diffrent from 2011 to 2012 , asmany as 9,09% and obtained an increase an the numberof Diabetes Mellitus patients as many as 6,45%. Diabetes Mellitus patients in Tegal Sari Helath Centre has increased from 2011 to 2013 as many as 6,45% from all of the patients. However the resulth of the research of patients aged 46 – 74 has increased generally in female than male.
