Hubungan Motivasi Beprestasi dan Kepercayaan Diri Dengan Prestasi Belajar Siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Kejuruan Muda Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between achievement motivation and confidence with the student achievement at SMAN 2 Kejuruan Muda Aceh Tamiang District. The amount of subject is 150 people and they were students of class XI from IPA and IPS department. The Approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was random sampling. In this study, the researcher used two scale measuring as the instrument type. The scale used to measure the student achievement, achievement motivation and confidence scale. The data analysis techniques used in this study is a multiple regression analysis. Based on the analysis of data obtained Freg coefficient = 49,950 and p < 0.05. It shows that there is a significant correlation achievement motivatioan and confidence with student achievement. The result also show that there is significant correlation between achievement motivation and student achievement with score coefficient of partial correlation is 0,509 and p < 0.05. It means if score of achievement motivation is high then the score of student achievement too. And then there is significant correlation between confidence with student achievement, the score of partial correlation 0,166 and p < 0.05.
