Studi Penerapan Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Untuk Peningkatan Efisiensi Pada Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Kebun Sei Intan PTPN V Riau

Abstract

Palm Oil Factory Sei Intan District PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Riau is a company that specializes in palm oil processing. The company always have a problem that deals with the efficiency of a machine caused by inaccurate handling dan maintenance of production machine. This can be seen in the damage to the Boiler machine I which results in disruption of overall palm oil production. The first step taken as an effort to increase production efficiency is by implementing Total Productive Maintenance through measuring the effectiveness of Boiler machine I using the OEE method (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Then the OEE six big losses calculation is carried out to determine the level of decline in efficiency in each of six big losses factor. From the calculation results obtained the value of OEE during the period April 2017-Maret 2018 on Boiler Machine I ranged from 78,12 % to 89,23 %. The Ideal OEE value of 85 % is only obtained for 5 months production. The biggest factor that affects the OEE value and becomes a priority to be eliminated on the Boile machine I is a factor equipment failures as big as 59,42 % and factor of Idling/Minor Stoppages as big as 31,34 %. The proposed corrective action is a proposal to implement autonomous maintenance, provide training for Boiler operators and workshop technicians, increase the frequency of Boiler machine maintenance, set standard for implementing Boiler machine maintenance, rearranging Boiler machine fuel and increasing operator supervision and awareness about the cleanliness of the work environment.
