Perencanaan Traffic Lights Pada Persimpangan Titi Kuning

Abstract

The unfunctioning traffic lights at the Titi Kuning intersection resulted in the vehicle being turned right to turn back, resulting in a fairly long queue. Traffic management needs to be applied in particular the traffic lights to reduce the queues and efficiency of time for road users. Research limits the problem by discussing road characteristics, traffic volume, saturated current, effective green time, capacity and degree of saturation, length of queue and delay. Calculation of traffic lights is done using the MKJI method. The green, yellow and red time calculation plan that can be in the North direction (Jl. Brigjen Katamso) is 22, 3 and 64 seconds, south (Jl. Zein Hamid) is 40, 3 and 82 sec, West (Jl. A. H Nasution) which is 27, 3 and 69 seconds and the east (Jl. Lintas Sumatera) is 18, 3 and 60 seconds. Time setting traffic lights using the MKJI method at the intersection of Titi Kuning is feasible.
