Hubungan Kompetensi Kepribadian dan Kompetensi Profesional Dengan Kinerja Guru Taman Kanak-Kanak di Kota Medan

Abstract

The method of this study used descriptive quantitative that emphasizes the analysis of numerical data or figures . The Co relational of research design was conducted discover the relationship between personal and professional competence of the teacher's performance . In this study there are two variables that were examined they were independent and the dependent variable. Independent variables consist of personality Competence( X1 ) and professional competence ( X2 ) . Dependent variable is teacher performance ( Y ) . Based on the data , it was known that the affect X1 and Y is Ry1 = 0.235 ,it means that personal competence ( X1 ) contribute effectively to the kindergarten teacher performance ( Y ) equal to 0.235 x 100 % = 23.5 % . The results of the correlation between X2 and Y was Ry2 = 0.652 .It means that the professional competence ( X2 ) provide an effective contribution to the performance of a kindergarten teacher ( Y ) equal to 0.652 x 100 % = 65.2 % . Simultaneously effect between X1 and X2 to Y of 65.3 . It means that the teacher performance was strongly influenced by the variable personal competence and professional competence of 65.3 % while the rest was influenced by other factors outside of the model study . Based on the results obtained by a simple regression model with X1 and X2 and 1 2 Y = 17,617 + 0,717X + 0,313X ∧ Based on the specified criteria , the results of the table above explained that the F count of 30.833 which is greater than the significant value of F table at 1 % with of ( 83 ). It means that the variables of personality and professional competence and linear direct effect on the performance variables kindergarten teacher. Analysis of hypothetical mean and empirical calculations above can be concluded that the performance of teachers , personality and professional competence of kindergarten teachers in Medan was high . For the empirical mean of the teacher 's performance is 36.97 for the empirical mean professional competence variables is 32.83 and 27.74 for personal competence variables . For the teacher 's performance by 2.65 . For personal competence of 2.64 and 3.53 for the professional competence . So the size of the SD were obtained for teacher performance : 36.97 < 62.5 is where the difference is less than elementary school teachers' performance , it was concluded that the kindergarten teacher 's performance is quite high . For the amount of personal competence and professional SD is 32,83 < 50,00 where the difference is less than SD personality and professional competence, it can be concluded that kindergarten teacher has a personality and professional competence are quite low.
