Abstract: Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu primadona tanaman perkebunan yang menjadi salah satu penghasil devisa non-migas bagi Indonesia. Cerahnya prospek komoditi minyak kelapa sawit dalam perdagangan minyak nabati dunia mendorong pemerintah Indonesia untuk mengembangkan industri kelapa sawit secara terintegratif (agroindustri). Pengembangan industri kelapa sawit sebagai proses unhtk meningkatkan added value bagi produk-produk yang berbasiskan kelapa sawit, didukung oleh kebijakan-kebijakan pemerintah seperti program revitalisasi perkebunan 2006-2010 (Departemen Pettanian,2006) dan subsisdi investasi untuk perkebunan (Departemen Keuangan,2006). Oil palm is one of the favorite plantation crops that is wrong a non-oil and gas foreign exchange earner for Indonesia. Bright prospects for oil commodities palm oil in the world vegetable oil trade encourages the Indonesian government to develop the palm oil industry in an integrated manner (agro-industry). Development of the palm oil industry as a process to increase added value for palm oil-based products, supported by policies government such as the 2006-2010 plantation revitalization program (Department Pettanian, 2006) and investment subsidies for plantations (Ministry of Finance, 2006).
