Abstract: Rumusan masalah datam penelitian ini adalah apakah gaji berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan pada PT. Kereta A pi Indonesia (Persero) Divre I Bengkel Sarana Pulo Brayan Medan. Dari hasil penelitian dan analisis data dapat dijawab masalah diatas bahwa gaji dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan pada PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divre (Bengkel Sarana Pulo Brayan Medan. Untuk memperoleh data dalam penyusunan skripsi ini, penulis menggunakan insitrumen; questioner (daftar pernyataan), penelitian kepustakaan, studi dokumentasi, dan observasi ke lapangan serta wawancara, dimana data yang diambil merupakan data sekunder (sejarah singkat perusahaan dan struktur organisasi perusahaan, sistem gaji dan kepuasan kerja) dari instansi-instansi terkait, dan data primer (yaitu data yang langsung diambil, diolah oleh peneliti sendiri seperti questioner). The formulation of the problem in this research is whether salary influences employee job satisfaction at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divre I Bengkel Sarana Pulo Brayan Medan. From the results of research and data analysis, the above problem can be answered, namely that salary can increase employee job satisfaction at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divre (Bengkel Sarana Pulo Brayan Medan. To obtain data in preparing this thesis, the author used the instruments; questionnaire (list of statements), library research, documentation studies, and field observations and interviews, where the data taken was secondary data (brief history of the company and company organizational structure, salary system and job satisfaction) from related agencies, and primary data (i.e. data directly taken, processed by the researchers themselves such as questionnaires)
