dc.description.abstract | Usaha asam potong gelugur “Karunia” yang terletak di Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Biru-Biru, Kabupaten Deli Serdang masih menggunakan alat pengiris manual dan sederhana, yaitu menggunakan pisau dapur dan ketam manual, sehingga tidak efisien dan memiliki resiko kecelakaan pada pekerja baik dari telapak tangan yang terkikis pisau, hingga kulit tangan iritasi akibat cairan yang dikeluarkan oleh asam gelugur saat pengirisan, sehingga kapasitas produksi relatif rendah dikarnakan alat pengiris yang kurang efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang alat slicer asam gelugur (garcinia griffith et anders) sehingga dapat menguragi resiko kecelakaan kerja dan terjadinya iritasi pada kulit tangan, hingga dapat dipastikan hasil produksi dari pengirisan ini lebih efisien. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode Benchmarking. Metode Benchmarking dilakukan dengan memilih alat sejenis yang dianggap baik untuk dilakukan benchmarking dan memenuhi kebutuhan pengrajin. Alat yang dipilih penulis untuk Benchmarking sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengrajin yaitu alat pengiris asam gelugur ketam manual dan alat pengiris kentang. Dari hasil penelitian ini alat slicer asam gelugur lebih efisien serta memiliki kapasitas produksi lebih besar dan cepat, dengan hasil waktu potong 4 detik per buah dibandingkan dengan waktu menggunakan ketam manual 15 detik per buah untuk standar buah yang berdiameter 90 mm, pekerja lebih aman dan terhindar dari iritasi kulit yang diakibatkan dari cairan potongan buah asam gelugur. The "Karunia" gelugur cutting acid business located in Sidomulyo Village, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency still uses manual and simple slicing tools, namely using kitchen knives and manual planers, so it is inefficient and has a risk of accidents to workers both from the palms of their hands. which is eroded by the knife, so that the skin on the hands becomes irritated due to the liquid released by the gelugur acid during slicing, so that production capacity is relatively low due to the inefficient slicing tool. This research aims to design a gelugur acid (garcinia griffith et anders) slicer tool so that it can reduce the risk of work accidents and irritation of the skin of the hands, so that it can be ensured that the production results from this slicing are more efficient. This research was conducted using the Benchmarking method. The Benchmarking method is carried out by selecting similar tools that are considered good for benchmarking and meet the craftsmen's needs. The tools chosen by the author for Benchmarking are in accordance with the craftsmen's needs, namely a manual crab gelugur acid slicer and a potato slicer. From the results of this research, the gelugur acid slicer tool is more efficient and has a larger and faster production capacity, with a cutting time of 4 seconds per fruit compared to the time using a manual crab of 15 seconds per fruit for standard fruit with a diameter of 90 mm, workers are safer and protected. from skin irritation caused by the liquid from pieces of gelugur acid fruit. | en_US |
