Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa akuntansi, pertimbangan pasar kerja dan penghargaan finansial terhadap pemilihan karier mahasiswa akuntansi Universitas Medan Area menjadi akuntan publik di era 5.0. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 177 mahasiswa akuntansi. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh 67 mahasiswa. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis regresi linier berganda, uji asumsi klasik, dan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil pengujian secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa akuntansi dan pertimbangan pasar kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, sedangkan penghargaan finansial tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemilihan karier mahasiswa akuntansi Universitas Medan Area menjadi akuntan publik di era 5.0. This research aims to determine accounting students’ perceptions, job market considerations and financial rewards on career choices for accounting students of Medan Area University to become public accountant in the 5.0 era. The population of this study was 177 accounting students. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method, so that 67 students were obtained. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data. The data analysis techniques used were validity testing, reliability testing, descriptive statistical analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using the SPSS application. Partial test results show that accounting students’ perceptions and job market considerations have a positive and significant effect, while financial rewards have a negative and significant effect on career choice for accounting students of Medan Area University to become public accountant in the 5.0 era.
