| Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan Self-efficacy menulis berdasarkan jenis kelamin pada siswa SMP Swasta Karya Sedar di Kecamatan Biru- Biru, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. This study aims to analyze differences in writing Self-efficacy based on gender among students of Karya Sedar Private Junior High School in Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Self-efficacy is an individual's belief in their ability to complete tasks, including writing. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students in grades VII, VIII, and IX of Karya Sedar Private Junior High School, totaling 45 students. The sampling technique in this study used total sampling. The instrument used was a writing Self- efficacy scale arranged based on three dimensions according to Bruning (2013), namely ideation, conventions, and Self-regulation, consisting of 16 statement items with two response options, namely Very Able to Do It (SBM) and Very Unable to Do It (STBM). The data were analyzed using an independent t-test (Independent Sample t-Test) with the help of JASP. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the writing Self-efficacy of male and female students, with an average difference value of -7.98 and a significance value of p = 0.045 (p < 0.05). This finding indicates that female students have a higher level of writing Self-efficacy than male students. Overall, the majority of students are in the medium (66%), high (23%), and low (11%) Self-efficacy categories. Female students have a higher level of writing efficacy (100%) than male students (66%). This finding supports the results of previous studies that show differences in writing efficacy based on gender. |
