Abstract: Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh variasi waktu tahan pada proses hot press terhadap sifat konduktivitas listrik berbahan dasar polipropilen (PP) dengan penambahan karbon aktif (KA). Tiga komposisi yang digunakan, yaitu PP 100%, PP 95% + KA 5%, dan PP 85% + KA 15%, masing-masing diproses pada waktu tahan 10, 15, dan 20 menit. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap densitas, konduktivitas listrik menggunakan metode empat titik, serta uji bending. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa waktu tahan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kepadatan, namun tidak signifikan mempengaruhi konduktivitas listrik. Semua komposisi menunjukkan sifat insulatif, meskipun penambahan KA 15% pada waktu tahan 20 menit sedikit meningkatkan nilai konduktivitas. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan KA dan variasi waktu tahan belum mampu membentuk jalur konduktif yang efektif dalam matriks. This study examines the effect of varying holding times during the hot press process on the electrical conductivity of polypropylene (PP)-based materials with the addition of activated carbon (KA). Three compositions were used: 100% PP, 95% PP + 5% KA, and 85% PP + 15% KA, each processed at holding times of 10, 15, and 20 minutes. Density and electrical conductivity were tested using the four-point method, as well as bending tests. The results showed that holding time increased density but did not significantly affect electrical conductivity. All compositions exhibited insulative properties, although the addition of 15% KA at a holding time of 20 minutes slightly increased the conductivity value. This indicates that the addition of KA and variations in holding time were not sufficient to form an effective conductive path in the matrix.
