Abstract: | UD. UD. Suwarno is an industry that operates in the field of making bamboo-based tepas which is located in Kwala Madu Village, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. This bamboo has around 200 to 300 waste per month. This research aims to utilize bamboo waste that is not used properly into a product, namely a multifunctional hijab hanger based on product selection by respondents. In accordance with the wishes and needs of Islamic industrial engineering students at Medan Area University, there were 36 respondents by distributing an open questionnaire of 20 questions and a closed questionnaire of 12 questions as well as collecting anthropometric data. The results of the questionnaire are declared valid because R count > R table. The results of anthropometric processing show that each data dimension is sufficient and uniform. The design stage uses the Pahl and Beitz method with 4 phases. The research results show that the multifunctional hijab hanger product specifications start from the stand shape, 2 additional functions, to the natural color of the product. The product size uses student body dimensions with a percentile calculation of 5,50,95, so the product height is 146 cm, the height of the first additional function is 130 cm, the height of the main function is 84 cm, the height of the second additional function is 46 cm, the product width is 43 cm, and the width of the product sides is 36 cm. |
