Kemampuan Memecahakan Masalah Siswa pada Pelajaran PPKN Ditinjau dari Strategi Pembelajaran Aktif the Power of Two di SMA Negeri 6 Pematang Siantar

Abstract

The objective of this study is to know the students’ ability in solving the problems. The subject of the study was students of class X-M. Sains 1 of SMA Negeri 6 Pematangsiantar which consisted of 36 students because this school is one of school that apply the power of two active learning strategy. This study was conducted by using observation, interviews, and questionnaires method, with qualitative descriptive analysis. The individual score of x1 = 26,92, x2 = 31,22, x3 = 37,58 with xtotal = 95,72 in where the result of rhit = 0,785. The group score of x1 = 26,83, x2 = 36,83, and x3 = 40,78 with xtotal = 104,44 in where the result of rhit = 0,693. Both of the results showed that there was an improvement in solving the problems of students day by day whether individual or group. Based on the result, the power of two active learning strategy can be improving the ability of students in solving the problem.
