Perbedaa Locus of Control ditinjau dari Jenis Kelamin pada Agen Asuransi di AJB Bumiputera 1912 Serdang

Abstract

Insurance agents have had enough difficult tasks. Apart from having to sell the unreal products, such as selling insurance and having to reach the target of sales of insurance policy, insurance agents must also be able to provide accurate financial solutions to clients. The demands for work make the insurance agents work hard in order to achieve success, and one of the factors which can affect their success is their self-confidence or locus of control. People who have an internal locus of control believe that what will happen to them is caused by themselves, and those who have an external locus of control think that what will happen to them is caused by the things outside themselves like fate and chance, etc. The aim of this study is to see the differences of locus of control in terms og gender namely male and female. The subject of study is the insurance agents of AJB Bumiputera1912 Medan, taken with the techniques of total random sampling. The instrument of collecting the data used is IPC Locus of Control Scale
